In this leadership role, you’ll take responsibility for the overall management of the Mental Health Unit at a private clinic located Orange, NSW. The unit provides inpatient and outpatient programs supporting specialised treatment for anxiety, mood disorders, and general mental health conditions.

As the Nurse Unit Manager, you will lead a passionate team of nurses and clinical support staff, working closely with hospital executives to ensure staff development, effective use of resources, and the delivery of high-quality, holistic care.

About the Opportunity

As the Nurse Unit Manager, you will:

• Lead and mentor a dedicated team of nurses and support staff
• Ensure safe, effective and efficient care delivery within the unit
• Collaborate with hospital executives to manage resources and planning
• Support continuous improvement initiatives and evidence-based practice
• Champion education, training and skill development for your team

Skills and Experience

Essential

• Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in mental health nursing
• Previous leadership or management experience
• Strong financial, human resource, and operational management skills
• Ability to implement quality improvement and apply research to practice
• Exceptional communication and mentoring abilities

Highly Desirable

• Postgraduate studies in nursing leadership or management
• Sound computer literacy, including MS Office (Excel)

Requirements

• National Police Check (within the last 12 months)
• Proof of immunisation against infectious diseases
• Depending on role requirements, a Working with Children Check may be required
